Roofers in Berkshire

Before you hire a roofer in Berkshire

• Ask for the guarantee in writing. New tiled or slate roofs often come with 10 to 20 years; flat roofs usually match the membrane's own warranty.
• Check public liability insurance is current. Directory profiles sometimes show it as unverified.
• A roof survey usually costs £80 to £150 locally and is often free if you go ahead with the work.
• For scaffolding on a pavement, the roofer or scaffolder needs a council licence. Ask who is arranging it.
